I know what you're thinking: "A scarf... is your hero?!" My answer is Oh, yes. Blanket scarves aren't just any old scarves. They're super soft, and warm, and kinda like wearing a cocoon around your neck or shoulders (in the best way possible)! Plus, they're functional winter wear (i.e. they really keep you warm) and they look crazy cool. Pair it with bedhead hair, keep the rest of your outfit low-key, and you've got the "not trying too hard" style down!
This scarf I got from ASOS. Since it's getting late in the season, one of the best spots I found that still sells a variety of oversized and blanket scarfs is indeed ASOS (see credits below!). So while blanket scarves are a little harder to find now, that also means that they're majorly on sale when you do find them. Woot woot!
This was such a breathtaking spot to shoot at. It had snowed in New York City overnight and then all the snow melted on the streets, but somehow still covered the ground, the trees, and the pond in Central Park; it was like stepping into a magical winter wonderland.

The weather in New York City right now is 50 degrees, and just two weeks ago, it was in the single digits, so it's been a really, er, confusing winter—especially when it comes to getting dressed. I've got my fingers crossed for a few more coldish days so I can wrap myself up in this lovely accessory before spring hits for good!
I hope you have an amazing weekend. I'm super excited for the Oscars on Sunday. Are you tuning in? One of my friends who I worked with when I was a pharmacy tech at CVS always says that the Oscars are his Super Bowl, and I pretty much agree!
Xoxo, Heather
